Is it ok to use an inflatable mattress for your 3 year old's bed?
My son has outgrown his toddler bed and we lack the funds to get him a real twin sized bed. So my husband is making a platform for our twin size inflatable mattress for 3 year old to sleep on until we can afford to buy a real bed.
Would you think that's ok? He says he loves it and the mattress was one of those high dollar Inflatables with a pillow top.
Or do you think that's just too trashy? It's not like he'll sleep on it forever... just until we can buy him a real mattress.

I wish he wouldn't grow so fast, but he cannot comfortably sleep in his toddler bed anymore.
We plan to get him a bed for Christmas, just so you all know. It's not forever! Just until we can save up and afford a bed for him.
As you said, the money's not there. Considering co sleeping doesn't sound like an option, and neither is sleeping on the floor, an inflatable mattress seems to be the only option. Trashy no, it's a bed.
I bought Bella's twin mattress during a holiday sale and got an amazing deal, so next big holiday check out sears or walmart, etc, they usually price down the beds a ton during those times.
