Help keeping my dog from eating my shoes?
By eating I really mean chewing. What can I do to break this bad habit. He is a 5 lb chihuahua. Today he ate my favorite and expensive pair of shoes. So far he has eaten 3-4 pair of shoes and an inflatable bed. He has also made holes on blankets and pillows, all from chewing on them. Thank God that he is so cute and cuddly and I love him so much and don't have the heart to kill him and will never give him away. Since he has this bad habit no one will want him anyway.
Please don't tell me to give him dog toys or skin chewables because he has a million of them. Hiding my shoes works, but I'm only human and there are days that I forget.
HELP!!!
Keep your shoes away from us human!
We do experience teething during early month. And train us by giving us a command (NO) the moment you see us about to chew on your shoe.
Give us then the toy for us to chew on. be patient with us, we will eventually learn.
