Is this enough for his birthday party?
My son is turning seven next Saturday and I've booked a place called Pump It Up for his party. (It's a party room full of inflatable stuff such as moonwalks, etc). Anyways, the room itself is $270. I bought him a Nintendo DS with two games for his gift. I've purchased the stuff for "goodie bags" for the kids coming and of course the cake. (he picked it out)
After the hour 1/2 in the play rooms, you get 30 minutes in the "party room" to eat, open gifts, etc. Well I planned on bringing those small bags of snack chips, fruit snacks and Capri Suns/bottled water for the kids to munch on while he opens gifts. Since the party starts at 2:30 I figure everyone should have eaten lunch already. Does this seem selfish of me? I was thinking about getting pizzas, but you have to buy them from the place (you can only bring dry and wrapped foods from outside) and they are really expensive. I feel I've spent enough already!
I think that you have plenty to serve with the juice boxes, chips, fruit snacks and cake. The time that you are having the party should be a clue to the parents that it isn't for a meal. It sounds like you have a wonderful party planned for your son and it should be a big hit with everyone. Have fun!
