my baby always cries when i put her down.. how can i get anything done!?
shes 4 1/2 months old, i try putting her on her playmat, jumper, bouncer, swing, everything!!! my mom says to let her cry but i feel bad so i end up holding her all day. any tips? thanks
Some babies need a lot more cuddle time than others... My son needed a lot, too. We got a Moby Wrap and I wore it around the house, or out. He could nap or nurse in it, and I could get a lot done, too. Our moms, in general, tended to be less touchy with us as babies than we tend to be now. My mom and MIL also suggested that I just let the baby cry, but I decided that while their opinions can be useful, I knew my baby better. (Plus when you're nursing FT, it's less of a mess to just hold the baby close instead of letting him cry... you go through enough nursing pads as it is!) It doesn't mean that he won't eventually sleep on his own - I wouldn't worry about the occasional story like that. Follow your gut (but make it easy by using a wrap).
