I bought my kids a small Inflatable pool with a cover. How long will this last outside during the summer?
This is a decent sized kiddie pool so I don't want to waste water re-filling it every day. How many days should the water be good though with a cover? Obviously there is no chlorine so I realize the water will get nasty- at some point.
Also, we have a new pup- is it a bad idea to set it up? I'm thinking he would want to get in it or even pop it.
3 days is the maximum limit, all though you should do it every 48 hours. The water will be considered "standing water" any time beyond 48 hours and becomes a health risk. When the kids are in the pool, the new puppy should be indoors, as yes, a new puppy will bite or chew at the pool and try to pop it. Leaving the pool out over night is risking a lot of things, inflatable pools are soooo sensitive. They always store best drained and upside down, but since you are determined to keep it full of water, note that you will need to put the pool in the shade or the direct sunlight will cause the pool to become very weak in it's infrastructure, and eventually the pool will pop very easily. Additionally, you should move the pool to another place often to prevent all of your grass from dying, keep the grass in your yard short and not with sharp blades which will puncture the pool.
